People: He restores my soul and leads in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Leader: Though I walk through the valley of death, I shall fear no evil;
People: For you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Leader: You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
People: You have anointed my head with oil, and my cup is running over.
Leader: Surely your goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
All: And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

OPENING SONG: “When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder”
1) When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more
And the morning breaks eternal bright and fair
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there

Chorus: When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there.
2) On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise
And the glory of His resurrection share
When His chosen ones are gathered to their home beyond the skies
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there
3) Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care
Then when all of life is over and our work on earth is done
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there

Leader: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
People: And also with you.
Leader: In Christ, you have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation.
People: We believe in him and are marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit.
Leader: Living together in trust and hope, we confess our faith.
All: I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the
forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Leader: Build yourselves up on your most holy faith;
People: Pray in the Holy Spirit.
Leader: keep yourselves in the love of God;
People: Look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Leader: If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation:
People: Everything old has passed away; behold, everything has become new!
Leader: Gracious God,
All: Have mercy on us. In your compassion forgive us our sins, known and unknown, things done and left undone. Uphold us by your Spirit so that we may live and serve you in newness of life, to the honor and glory of your holy name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Leader: The almighty and merciful Lord grant us pardon, forgiveness, and remission of all our sins.
All: Amen!
PRAISE SONG: “Jesus Is the Rock and He Rolls My Blues Away”
Chorus: Jesus is the Rock and He rolls my blues away (bop shoe bop, shoe bop, whoo)
1) When you’re out on the street and you really feel down and low
When you’re out on the street ‘cause there’s nowhere else to go
When you’re out on the street, well, Jesus gonna save your soul
2) When you wake up in the mornin’ and the sky ain’t bright and blue
When you wake up in the mornin’ and the big world’s after you
When you wake up in the mornin’, yeah, Jesus gonna pull you through
3) When you look in the mirror and your face causes it to crack
When you make it through your day, but you feel like you’ve been attacked
Jesus gonna love you and baby, now that’s a fact
HOLY SCRIPTURE: St. Matthew 22:1-14
Leader: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Leader: Let us pray,
All: Lord of the feast, you have prepared a table before all people and poured out your life
with abundance. Call us again to your banquet. Strengthen us by what is honorable, just,
and pure, and transform us into people of righteousness and peace, through Jesus Christ,
our Savior and Lord. Amen.

SONG OF THE DAY: “Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God”

1) Seek ye first the kingdom of God, And His righteousness
And all these things shall be added unto you, Allelu, alleluia!
2) Man shall not live by bread alone, But by every word
That proceeds from the mouth of God, Allelu, alleluia!
3) Ask and it shall be given unto you, Seek and ye shall find
Knock and the door shall be opened unto you, Allelu, alleluia!

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

CLOSING SONG: “I Saw the Light”

1) I wandered so aimless, life filled with sin, I wouldn’t let my dear Savior in.
Then Jesus came like a stranger in the night. Praise the Lord, I saw the light.
Refrain: I saw the light. I saw the light. No more darkness. No more night.
Now I’m so happy, no sorrow in sight. Praise the Lord, I saw the light.
2) Just like a blind man I wandered along, worries and fears I claimed for my own.
Then like a blind man God gave back his sight. Praise the Lord, I saw the light.
3) I was a fool to wander and stray. Straight is the gate and narrow the way.
Now I have traded the wrong for all the right. Praise the Lord, I saw the light.

Don’t forget, we will move back into the Church building on November 1 st . Worship time will be at 10:30 AM! Please wear a mask and practice social distancing. We will try to set up the sanctuary in such a manner that all can be safe.
